I hadn't heard from Julien Benais for a few weeks so I thought maybe he finally got his wish and moved to Thailand, where one can only hope with that Junta police state sitch going down the universe would do womankind a solid and Brokedown Palace his ass. For those that are not following the current crisis in Thailand, to put it lightly the new government is causing some craziness.
Any way he's still griping about me publicizing his acts of foolery. It's a nonissue at this point. He hurt me, I'm not going to apologize for writing about it. Nothing was embellished, and happened exactly as was written, so it's neither libel/slander/malice, but he's informed me that he's trying out for that new 'Right to Be Forgotten' ruling. My heart bleeds for him.
Since He Who Only Has Sex On Mondays thinks he's been dealt some injustice against his good name, quite possibly certain articles will be inaccessible to Google Europe search results. They won't show up on Google search in Europe. Sorry to whomever it is that does weekly searches for him. Try .com instead of .fr.
Who would have thunk Europe would introduce censorship legislation? In this day and age? smdh Although with the current political climate of the EU it shouldn't be shocking. It's a sad day for freedom of information my friends. I could go on a long rant about censorship of the internet, it's something we should all be aware of, but I won't bore you. Let's just hope it's not the beginning of a new trend in fascism. I would hate to wake up one day and discover we're in something that would make the Chinese clutch their pearls.
Thankfully it's already been counteracted by the website hiddenfromgoogle.com, which curates all links removed from European Google and Bing search engines. If you're looking for something that's not showing up in your country, check there. And of course changing the URL will reopen all search results. For instance when I'm in France, and not connected to a VPN, Google automatically connects to google.fr, but I always change it to google.com because I filter for English results, and Google chooses sites in the UK, when I want sites in America. Easy peasy.
